Tater – Little Jimmy Dickens
Speaking of Hank Williams, did you know that the country icon doled out some famous pet names as well? Of course, there was Bocephus for his son, Hank Williams Jr. (keep going to read about that!), but Williams is also responsible for Little Jimmy Dickens’ endearing nickname, Tater. Dickens’ 1949 song “Take an Old Cold Tater (and Wait)” inspired Williams to give him the name.
