Reba McEntire first met her now-boyfriend Rex Linn on the set of Kenny Rogers‘ 1991 movie The Gambler Returns: The Luck of the Draw. McEntire and Linn kept in touch through the years, and reconnected on a deeper level in early 2020.
The two of them met up for dinner, and sparks flew. After spending several months apart due to everything going on in the world, the couple was thrilled when they were finally able to reunite. They’ve been inseparable ever since.
McEntire and Linn went public with their relationship in October 2020. Since then, they’ve been enjoying their quality time with each other and their many animals, including a pair of donkeys named Poncho and Lefty.
Linn is an actor known for his roles in shows such as CSI: Miami, Young Sheldon, and Better Call Saul. McEntire also has some acting experience under her belt, having starred in projects including Tremors, Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar, and her namesake sitcom, Reba.
Since they’re both actors, McEntire thinks it would be fun to star alongside her boyfriend in a movie. And not just any movie…a Western!
During a recent interview with Talk Shop Live, McEntire said she and Linn talk “all the time” about starring in a Western film together.
“…we were raised around cattle and horses,” she said. “He loves to team rope, I love to barrel race, and we both got into show business. So that was always our passion, to be in a Western. To get to be on one together would be a blast.”
How cool would it be to see McEntire and Linn in a Western movie?
