Reba is named after her grandmother.

Her grandmother’s name was Reba Estelle Brassfield.

Reba learned how to drive when she was only five years old.

She used to drive her father’s truck while he kicked hay off the truck’s bed to feed the cattle.

She was a serious basketball player as a young girl.

Well, as a young girl, she was really sporty. She would jump after the ball before any boy could.

The group’s name was The Chorvettes.

She is the only female country star to have a No. 1 hit in four consecutive decades.

Since 1980 she has had at least one #1 hit in each decade. Thus, earning her nickname, “Queen of Country Music.”

She was supposed to be in Titanic.

Reba was chosen by Titanic director James Cameron to play the “Unsinkable” Molly Brown in the 1997 film, but she had to decline because of her tour schedule. The role went to Kathy Bates instead.

In 2000, she was named the No. 1 Best-selling Female Country Singer of All Time.
