Reba McEntire Reunites With Former “Reba” Co-Star Melissa Peterman For Lifetime Movie

McEntire’s real-life boyfriend Rex Linn (CSI: Miami) will also appear in the film as “a mysterious cowboy with unknown motives.”

A release date for the movie has yet to be announced.

The Hammer is Reba’s second appearance in a Lifetime movie. In 2021, the “Fancy” singer starred in Reba McEntire’s Christmas in Tune alongside “The Dukes of Hazard” star John Schneider.

The film also marks the fourth time since Reba that McEntire and Peterman have worked on together. The actresses previously appeared on CMT’s Working Class, Freeform’s Baby Daddy and CBS’ Young Sheldon. The two remained close friends after starring together on Reba from 2001-2007, often sharing photos together on social media. Peterman was on-hand to help honor Reba at the 2018 Kennedy Center Honors. See her tribute below.
