Alan Jackson and his wife, Denise, have a new grandson!
The Jacksons are parents to three beautiful daughters: Mattie, Ali, and Dani. They became first-time grandparents when Ali and her husband, Sam Bradshaw, welcomed a baby boy just days before Alan and Denise’s 43rd wedding anniversary in December 2022.
Ali and Sam named their son Jackson Alvie Bradshaw. The adorable little boy was just a few months old when his aunt Mattie married Connor Smith during a stunning beachside wedding in May 2023.
In February, Mattie and Connor shared the happy news they were expecting their first child, a boy. They revealed that Mattie’s due date was in June.
“I feel like I said so many times last year that 2023 topped the charts with more joy and celebration and and redemption than any yet. Well, I have a feeling 2024 may give it a run for it’s money…We are absolutely thrilled to share BABY BOY SMITH coming this June!!!” Mattie said.
Mattie and Connor’s baby boy finally arrived on June 20, just one day after Mattie’s own birthday. A week later, they shared the news of his birth alongside some adorable photos and also revealed his name: Wesley Alan Smith.
“Wesley Alan Smith joined our little family on June 20th, the absolute best birthday gift I could have ever imagined,” Mattie said. “There is no greater honor in life than being chosen by God to be your mom. And no sweeter joy than watching your daddy adore you and protect you already.”
Mattie revealed that baby Wesley was named after Connor’s grandfather and, of course, Mattie’s own father, Alan.
“You have all my heart and my prayers, baby boy. If you’re anything like both your namesakes (Connor’s grandad and @officialalanjackson ), you’ve got quite a life ahead of you,” Mattie said.
Alan Celebrates His Grandson’s Birth In Post On Social Media
After Mattie and Connor shared their big news, Alan Jackson celebrated his new grandson’s birth in his own post on social media.
Alan shared a photo of him and Denise with Mattie in the hospital after Wesley was born. He wrote:
“Denise and I are so happy to announce the arrival of our grandson Wesley Alan Smith. Proud parents @MattieJackson and Connor Smith welcomed Wes into the world on June 20, 2024.“
