Career and Professional Life
Vincent initiated her musical journey from her age of five. That time, she used to sing gospel songs with her family’s band which later became popular by the name Sally Mountain Show. While celebrating her sixth birthday, she was gifted a snare drum by her father. When she reached eight, she was able to play the mandolin.
The passion in the music made her learn guitar and got expelled by the time she reached ten. In the list of her instruments, she added fiddle as well. In 1970, she recorded her first single which was a version of Mule Skinner Blues. Vincent and her two younger brothers joined the family’s band performing extensively across the Midwest in the 1970s and early 1980s.
Moving to her education and academic achievements, Vincent was enrolled at Schuyler County R-1 schools and after completion of her high school, she joined Northeast Missouri State University. As per some online source, “Accounting” was the major subject chosen by Vincent.
