Country music legend Loretta Lynn will be recognized at the 2021 ACM Honors as the recipient of a prestigious award.
On June 15, the ACM announced that Lynn is one of three recipients of the Poet’s Award. Gretchen Peters and and the late Curly Putman are the other two recipients.
As the ACM explained, the Poet’s Award “is presented to a Country Music songwriter for outstanding and longstanding musical and/or lyrical contributions throughout their career, with special consideration given to a song or songs’ impact on the culture of Country Music.”
