Bowen was performing at the iconic Exit/In venue in Nashville, Tennessee. He was joined by a number of special guests, including Rhett Akins, Charlie Worsham, and Lee Roy Parnel.

Miranda Lambert also made a surprise appearance during the show. She joined Bowen onstage to perform a cover of the timeless Keith Whitley song, “Miami, My Amy.”

“Miami, My Amy” was written by Dean Dillon, Hank Cochran, and Royce Porter. Whitley released the song as a single in January 1986. It peaked at the 14th spot on the Hot Country Songs chart.

Although “Miami, My Amy” was not a number one hit like “Don’t Close Your Eyes” or “When You Say Nothing At All,” it is still known as one of Whitley’s signature songs.

Andrew Cohen was tweeting throughout Bowen’s show. He shared a clip of Lambert and Bowen singing “Miami, My Amy,” and captioned it:

If you’ve never heard @WadeBowen & @mirandalambert sing “Miami, My Amy” you have now. Shoulda been here. @EXIT_IN.”
