Rosanne Cash Postpones Concerts On Doctor’s Orders

Cash ended up contracting COVID-19 herself. Although she has tested negative since mid-May, she’s still feeling the effects of the virus.

I deeply regret that I must postpone my concerts in St. Louis and Lawrence again,” Cash wrote in a statement she published on Wednesday (June 8). “Unfortunately, I contracted Covid while on tour in early May, and this latest variant has affected my vocal cords. Despite vocal rest and other attempts at recovering quickly, I just received doctor’s orders not to sing until this is resolved, in order to avoid further damage to my voice.”

Cash said she is expected to make a full recovery after a little more time. Her Lawrence and St. Louis shows have now been rescheduled for July 15 and July 17, respectively.

She thanked everyone for their well-wishes, writing in the caption, “Thanks for all these kind wishes in the comments—you’re all very sweet. I feel fine except for some fatigue…
