What happened to Wynonna Judd’s daughter Grace Pauline Kelley?
Over the years, Grace Pauline Kelley has struggled to stay out of trouble. In 2015, she was arrested at a parking lot in Walgreens, Nashville, with items to make meth. She was later charged with promotion of meth manufacture, to which she pleaded guilty – as well as on delivery, sale, and possession with intent.
The court ordered Grace to serve 30 days in jail, followed by a completion of 180 days in-house rehab program. However, Grace left the facility without permission – which was a violation of the court order.
She has since been sentenced to eight years in prison.
Following her lock up, Grace’s mother Wynonna became an activist for criminal justice reform and even set up a meeting with White House officials to discuss the topic.
Grace, who is now 26 years old, remains imprisoned at The Debra K. Johnson Rehabilitation Center, a Tennessee Department of Correction prison for women located in Nashville, Tennessee. She could get her freedom back again later this year if she manages to convince the parole board to release her.
Her possible release comes as Wynonna Judd puts up a fight against her sister Ashley Judd over the last will and testament of their late mother, Naomi Judd, who’s been Wynonna’s longtime singing partner.
