Country music legend Loretta Lynn died on October 4 at the age of 90. She was laid to rest three days later (October 7) during a private service held on her ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee.
The Lynn family has plans to host a public memorial for Loretta at a later date.
“A public memorial is being planned,” said family spokesperson Ebie McFarland. “The family did have a private ceremony Friday with no other details available to share at this time.”
Loretta’s daughter, Patsy, shared an emotional post reflecting on her mother’s funeral. She said:
“Today we said goodbye for now. It was both heartbreaking and beautiful. I am so thankful for all the moments with her. I feel so blessed to know with not one shadow of doubt she is with the Lord and is so excited to be there.”
