Kenny Rogers earned his nickname of the Gambler in the wake of his 1978 hit of the same name. With some of the most famous lyrics of all time (“You’ve got to know when to hold ’em / Know when to fold ’em / Know when to walk away / And know when to run”), it’s no wonder Rogers’ nickname stuck.
